Art - Kasut Manek
" Timeless objects of beauty "
The Peranakan retained most of their unique beauty of thier religious origins .Nyonya clothing style is type of a unique label for Baba Nyonya culture as a elegant costume.One of the items i pick to share it here is Kasut Manek also known as Peranakan Beaded Slippers .Kasut Manek is a type of show that dates back to early twentieth century .Usually, Nonya dress, at the annual Peranakan convention is almost inevitably accompanied by the Kasut Manek .Kasut Manek were a hand-made made with much skill and patience: strung, beaded and sewn onto canvas with tiny faceted glass beads from Bohemia. In modern times, glass beads from Japan are preferred. Traditional kasut manek design often have European floral subjects,They were made onto flats or bedroom slippers. But from the 1930s, modern shapes became popular and heels were added.In Indonesia, the Peranakans develop their own Kebaya, most notably 'kebaya encim', and developed their own batik patterns,which incorporate symbols from China. Not surprisingly, crafting a well-made pair of beaded slippers was a time consuming affair, and the ‘face’ for each pair could take several months to complete. The maker had to possess an infinite amount of patience and perseverance, a steady hand, good eyesight and of course a flair for aesthetic creativity.” I found a interesting site that teaching us how to do Kasut Manek with a clear explanation. By the way,There are 2 versions of beads used. There is the bigger and rougher beads which actually makes beautiful kasut manek. But ,most of the nyonya, they usually go for the more expensive kasut manik which comes with fine beads. And when put side by side, the difference of the 2 shoes are striking.

Art- Random CD Artwork
Here was one simple and amazing packaging design which done
by Hubero Kororo ,what it amazing bout this design. The unique part
of this design was after you tear off the strip on the side of the CD then
the middle part of the cover will releases ink with deep purple, the same
color as the inside of the CD and every customer who buy that will get
a totally original cover ,because of the purple ink will appear random.

Interesting design with a good impact? Right? It was design by Vladimir
who was born in Bulgaria, don't know where is it actually...keke. This set
of silverware that he calls Soil Cutlery and it look like gardening tool .
At 1st, i saw this .. it remind me to don't be waste food...of cos i did waste
sometimes. Vladimir said that " Food is more and more produced in artificial
environments. In future we might need a reminder of the cultivation origins" .
So, for my conclusion i'm hungry now. I NEED FOOD.

Art- Digital Design 2-Character Design
Here was one of my character for my assignment " Fly me to the moon " .
My ideas is " Hell to Heaven " and this is god of hell. I spend quite
long time to try on the colors. At first,i comes out two ideas..one
is this, another is "my dream" but my lecture said that the heaven ideas
are more oriental and unique, then i try develop and improve on this
idea. Back to the flash technique(ActionScripting) ,its really need to
put more effort on it. At the same time, i'm really enjoy on this subject.
